Software

The AXILOG software has the following functions:
- remote control of the AXILOG
- retrieval of measured values
- management of measured data
- reporting of measured data
- connect to the AXILOG, directly, through a modem or via the internet

Control
When the AXILOG is connected to a PC, all settings of the instrument that can be done with the buttons on the instrument, can also be done with the PC software. As soon as the connection to the AXILOG is established, first the serial number, set-up information and all measured data is retrieved from the AXILOG. The information is shown in the AXILOG software. Measured data can be shown in graphs. The type of graph is selectable.

Some of the buttons on the AXILOG can be deactivated from the PC making it impossible to change settings on the AXILOG in the field.

The tab  ''set-up'' has the following options:
- read AXILOG serial number
- read and change the description field that is stored in the logger
- set the logging interval time
- set start and stop time for the logging
- set a logging trigger level
- set an alarm trigger level and alarm time
- deactivate buttons on the AXILOG

Data retrieval and data management
As soon as there is a connection between AXILOG and PC, all data that is present in the AXILOG is copied to the PC. The data is stored on hard-disk immediately. The data contains the settings that were active when the readings were taken.

The data is encrypted before it is stored on disk. This is done to guarantee the integrity of the data. A digital signature can be added to the data. Data can be exported for further processing, i.e. with Excel.

Reports of measured values
The following standard graphs are available:
- velocity versus time (v(t))
- frequency versus time (f(t))
- velocity versus frequency (v(f))
It is possible to zoom in on the graph. There is a button that copies the graph to the clipboard for subsequent paste in i.e. Word.

The scale of the graph can be set manually or be chosen automatically by the software.
