The Digiplop is suited for pipes from 28 through 70 mm.
The measuring range is 0.15 through 30 m.
The resolution of the measurements is 1mm. The result of the
measurement is shown with a resolution of 1 cm.
The accuracy of the measurement is shown below.

Beyond a depth of approx. 4 m the error is +/- 0.02 m.
For places that are difficult to reach an adapter can be used.
Any shape will do, as long as there is no immediate change in diameter end the
interior of the pipe must be smooth.

An adapter introduces an offset in the measurements. This
offset can be compensated automatically. If an offset is entered in the
Digiplop, the display blinks when a result is shown to avoid misinterpretation.
The Digiplop uses a table to compensate for the temperature
profile in the pipe. The profile depends on the season. When the Digiplop is
switched on, the number f the month of the year must be entered so that the
Digiplop can determine whih table to use.
If the Digiplop is used for other measurements, such as level
gauging for example, ther is no temperature profile. In this case the
temperature can be set to a fixed value.
The Digiplop always takes several readings to determine the
reliability of the measurements. The result is presented immediately on the
display.
The pipe diameter can be set on the Digiplop. The pipe
diameter that is set determines the measuring method that is used. A wrong
setting does not influence the reliability of the results, but it does limit the
measuring range. The minimum value will increase and the maximum distance will
decrease.
