Description
This is the PRO-NET I/O controller. This board interfaces I/O boards to the
PRO-NET network. An I/O controller can have up to 8 I/O boards connected to it.
The I/O controller makes sure that the active measuring channels of the I/O
boards that are connected to it are sampled and that the measured values are
available for the measuring program. The PRO-NET master communicates with the
I/O controllers through the PRO-NET network. If the master needs to read an
input channel, it sends a request to the I/O controller. The I/O controller then
supplies the measured value.
A maximum of 30 I/O controller boards can be connected to the PRO-NET network.
Each I/O controller has up to 8 I/O boards connected to it. The I/O boards are
connected to the I/O controller by means of a flat cable. The I/O
controller itself has 4 measuring inputs, three of which can be used for smart
temperature sensors, and all of them can be used to count pulses.
