Description

This board is a universal interface between the PRO-NET network and external equipment. See the overview for a recent list of equipment that can be connected this way.

The board has 2 optically isolated RS-485 interfaces. Devices with an RS-232 interface are connected through an RS-485 to RS-232 converter. Devices with an M-bus interface, are connected through an M-bus power supply and converter.

The PIB-IV interface obtains information from the external equipment and makes it available to the measuring program in PRO-NET. The information from the external equipment can be processed just as if it came from a PRO-NET measuring channel.
