As I look back on the past year, I feel incredibly proud. Not just because of the impressive projects we worked on, but because of the progress we made in how we support our customers. Two milestones stand out for me: the launch of our new website and our very first webinar. But what I valued most? The conversations with people in the field — from technical experts to policy makers — where we really got to understand their challenges and goals.

A new website for clear insight

At the beginning of this year, we launched our updated website. Why? Because we noticed that professionals in hydrology and geology often struggle to find the right solution for their measurement challenges. Think of monitoring water levels in remote areas, or the need for data that integrates seamlessly into existing systems.

Our website was designed to answer exactly those kinds of questions. Whether you’re working on dike reinforcements, energy transitions or sustainable water management, the site offers a clear overview of use cases and insights. We launched it during Aqua NL in Gorinchem which was a great moment to talk face-to-face with visitors about their goals and challenges.

Collaboration in the field: visit to Avallo

One of the moments that really stuck with me was our visit to Avallo. During a field trip, we saw how the LevelStick is used to monitor groundwater levels in agricultural areas. This data helps farmers maintain the balance between crop production and sustainability — a challenge that’s more relevant than ever.

What inspired me most was seeing the direct impact of this technology. While we stood alongside Avallo and their users, surrounded by curious calves, it became clear how practice and technology can come together. These types of partnerships motivate us to keep improving our solutions so they meet our users’ needs even better.

Webinar: Learning and sharing solutions together

Another highlight was hosting our first-ever webinar. Many of our customers are concerned about the upcoming shutdown of the 2G network; and rightfully so. Organising a webinar gave us the opportunity not only to answer their questions, but also to share actual solutions.

The positive feedback we received confirmed just how important it is to stay connected to our users, especially when changes directly affect their work. We’ll definitely be hosting more webinars to share knowledge and respond to questions from the field.

Focus on challenges and solutions

he conversations we’ve had over the past year highlighted the frustrations that many professionals deal with. Malfunctions, hard-to-reach monitoring sites, or not having the right insight from your data these things can cause serious problems. That’s why it’s our mission to provide equipment and solutions that are simple, robust and effective. As one of my colleagues put it so well during a site visit: “Measurement is knowledge, but only if your equipment works when you need it.” By working closely with our partners and clients, from Rijkswaterstaat to farmers in peatland areas, we keep refining our solutions. Take groundwater monitoring, for example: it’s not just about making levels visible. It also helps prevent water-related damage before it happens. This kind of impact lies at the core of what we do: turning complex challenges into simple, practical tools.

Looking ahead to 2025

What’s next for 2025? More connection with our users. We’ll keep learning from the people in the field, because that’s where our strength lies.
Whether it’s dike safety, the energy transition or sustainable water systems, we’re proud to support projects that truly make a difference.

Do you have a challenge we can help with? Let’s talk. Together, we’ll find solutions that don’t just deliver data, but actually make your job easier.
