About us

Leiderdorp Instruments BV was founded in 1987 as an engineering firm for product development. Over the years, our activities have expanded to include:

  • Development, production, sales, maintenance and repair of our own products
  • Development, production, maintenance and repair of OEM products
  • Product development for third parties (mainly electronics and firmware/software)
  • Turn-key measurement projects

Focus on measurement

Wij bedenken en produceren meetoplossingen voor 4 specifieke gebieden.

Here we focus on technology. Our thing? Measurement. And we do this in four key areas:

  • Measurement equipment for construction sites (e.g. vibration, water levels, tilt, crack width).
  • Monitoring systems for sustainable energy and information displays (e.g. PV system displays, portals and management platforms). 
  • Universal dataloggers with online access (for field monitoring, temporary setups, and mobile measurement devices). 
  • Signal amplifiers and readout equipment for sensors (e.g. solar radiation meters, UV sensors, heat flux sensors). 

We also offer custom OEM products—for example: control systems for heat pumps, monitoring devices for heat storage, water-in-oil detection, cleaning systems in pipelines, and hearing protection devices. We also develop tools for specific sectors, such as geotechnics, industrial washing systems, micro water treatment systems, and remotely operated water measurement systems.

Since 1987, we’ve supported large-scale sustainable energy projects. We’ve delivered systems for energy companies and integrators of autonomous PV systems, wind turbines, solar thermal installations and biogas systems. We do this in collaboration with various partners, including TNO, ECN, Senter (AgentschapNL), NUON, Econergy, and engineering firms and consultancies.
