Water quality
In addition to monitoring water levels, it is becoming increasingly important to maintain the quality of surface and groundwater at the desired level. Water quality management is aligned with national regulations and adapted to local conditions such as agriculture, nature reserves or residential areas.
Various public organisations are involved in keeping water clean, including water boards, municipalities and drinking water companies. The aim is to monitor and manage water quality in rivers, streams, lakes and canals.
We support water managers and hydrologists in maintaining clean water and preventing overflow or contamination caused by extreme rainfall or pollution.
Our instruments help monitor important water quality parameters, such as:
- pH
- Electrical conductivity
- Dissolved substances
- Turbidity
Our universal logger even allows you to connect your own sensors, giving you full control over your water management setup.
Clean freshwater is a limited resource. That’s why we support a wide range of users—such as water utilities, industry and agriculture—to make sure enough clean water remains available. We also contribute to the European Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC), which aims to improve the quality of water systems by supporting:
- Optimisation of surface and groundwater management
- Reducing and preventing pollution of water bodies
- Promoting sustainable water use
- Addressing the impacts of floods and droughts
