At the start of 2025, I began my role as managing director at Leiderdorp Instruments. A company full of technical expertise and dedicated people – and at the same time, an organisation with clear challenges and great potential. This year, for me, was all about observing, listening, making choices. But above all: building a stronger foundation for the future, together.

Creating structure, seizing opportunities

We began the year with a clear ambition: positioning Leiderdorp Instruments as a European player in data management for hydrological and geological applications. In 2025, we took our first important steps towards this. In spring, we launched a brand-new English-language website. Preparations for the French and German versions have been completed, and these will go live before the end of the year.

Internally, we also made significant progress. One example is the new RMA process, which enables us to handle complaints and repairs faster and more clearly. This benefits not only our customers but also improves internal collaboration.

A year of change

2025 also brought goodbyes. We said farewell to several valued colleagues who had long been the familiar faces of Leiderdorp Instruments. Changes like these are never easy but are sometimes necessary for a new phase. At the same time, new colleagues joined us, and as a team, we’re looking ahead with energy and ambition.

Renewal in our product range

On the product side, we introduced the Ellitrack D+, an improved version of our trusted datalogger. We also put our standalone groundwater logger – the Levelstick – more clearly on the map. Both products support our strategy of combining ease of use with reliability.

Closer to the field

What I personally found very valuable this year were the moments we came closer to the real-world practice. For example, the project in Veessen, where our equipment was used to monitor a water storage location. Or our visit to Brabant Water, where we had meaningful conversations about the use of groundwater loggers in drinking water research.

Our participation in the Aqua NL trade fair was another such moment of connection. Still, we noticed fewer visitors and fewer in-depth conversations at our stand compared to previous years. This made us reflect: is this still the right stage for us? For 2026, we’ve decided not to participate in Aqua NL, but we will attend the Water Info Day on 5 March 2026, together with a sister company from the Indutrade Group.

Ready for 2026

2025 was a year full of movement, growth, and learning. Above all, it was a year of strong collaboration. And that’s exactly what’s needed to prepare Leiderdorp Instruments for the future.
In 2026, we’ll continue: with product improvements, entering new markets, and strengthening our customer relationships – both online and offline. Because monitoring is something we do together.
